Sanaa - MENA
Yemen's Socialist Party on Wednesday withdrew from negotiations between Yemeni political factions and the Shiite Houthi group.
The move was taken in response to the abduction of the party's senior member Mohammed Qahtan by Houthi militants.
Earlier this month, the Shiite Houthi group issued what they described a constitutional declaration, dissolving parliament and establishing a transitional council to run the country's affairs.
