Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, stressed that Iran will not accept any preconditions for taking part in the international Geneva 2 conference due to be held on Syria. During a meeting with Chairman of the British-Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Group Jack Straw and the accompanying delegation, who are on a visit to Tehran, Zarif added that Iran will play an active role in the conference, if it was invited. Earlier, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon stated that Iran's presence in Geneva 2 conference, scheduled on January 22, will positively affect its results.
