Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari on Tuesday met with a U.S. congressional delegation that started an unannounced visit to Iraq. The delegation arrived today in Baghdad and discussed with Zebari bilateral relations and means of activating the US – Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement, a source at Iraq’s foreign ministry said. The US delegation is set to meet with a number of senior Iraqi officials, including Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and other political sides to discuss the situation in Iraq and the region.
