For the second time, Egyptian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Bassem Khalil was granted the Diplomat of the Year award for 2015, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement Wednesday.
Khalil received the award during a special ceremony organized by Zimbabwean Diplomat Magazine and Diplomacy Appreciation Foundation.
The ambassador won the same award in 2012.
In addition to Zimbabwean Foreign Ministry officials, the foundation groups university professors, thinkers and businessmen.
The award comes in recognition of his efforts to boost diplomatic relations with Egypt.
