At least one person was killed and four others were injured in an explosion that occurred outside the Italian Consulate in downtown Cairo early Saturday.

The injured were moved to hospital, a source told MENA.

Police cordoned off the site of the blast and criminal lab staff are acting to stand on reasons behind the explosion.
