The fire, that erupted in one of el Faggala's buildings in Ramsis, downtown Cairo, left one person dead and two others wounded, the Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghafar said.

Abdel Ghafar told MENA that the body of the dead is in the morgue of the Coptic Hospital, adding that one of the injured received treatment in the same hospital, while the other is treated in the Police Hospital in Agouza.

Four ambulances rushed to the scene of the fire, he noted.
