At least five militants were killed when they tried to sneak into the Indian side of the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, a senior army official told Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) on Saturday.

One soldier was killed in the gun battle.

Some militants might have fled back after their infiltration attempt was foiled, said the official.
