Peshmega forces on Friday repelled an attack by Daesh militants on sites of the Kurdish group in Nineveh province in northwestern Iraq, killing 10 militants.

A Kurdish military source said that Daesh militants launched an attack on Peshmerga sites in Sinjar town and clashes erupted between the two sides for two hours, leaving two Peshmerga members dead.

Peshmerga forces hindered the militants from making any advance.
