Saudi Civil Defense Service said on Thursday at least 100 pilgrims have died while 390 others were injured in a stampede in the tent city of Mina.

Rescue operations are currently underway, the service said on Twitter.

Civil defense teams on the ground are now leading pilgrims to safer routes away from the stampede.
