Syrian refugees

A total of 102 Syrian refugees crossed the borders during the past 48 hours, an army official said Tuesday.
The newly arrived refugees belonged to various age groups. Sick and wounded refugees, whether male or female, were provided with urgently required health care and medication before they were taken to refugee camps.
Approximately 80 percent of Syrian refugees in Jordan live in urban areas in the north of Jordan, while the remaining 20 percent live in the Za’atari, Marjeeb al-Fahood, Cyber City and Al-Azraq camps.
Since the uprising began in March 2011 right across the border in the city of Deraa, Jordanians have experienced the conflict via thousands of refugees who crossed into the country through the towns of Jabir and Ramtha.
