As may as 1,050 Egyptians fleeing Libya arrived in the Ras Ajdir border crossing between Libya and Tunisia, Egyptian ambassador Ayman Musharaf told MENA on Sunday.
They would be transported to Egypt as part of the airlift ordered by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for evacuating Egyptians living in Libya.
They will be firstly moved from the crossing to the Djerba-Zarzis airport.
Mushrafa said a team of the Egyptian consulate was now at the crossing to facilitate the measures.
