At least 11 Libyan soldiers were killed in clashes occurred in Benghazi, the country's second-largest city, a military source told MENA.

They were killed during an offensive launched by the army against the fighters of the Shura Council of Benghazi Revolutionaries.

At least 36 were wounded in the clashes.

Initial reports said six army personnel were killed during the clashes.
