As many as 11 armed Syrian opposition fighters were killed in battles with the Syrian army troops in the strategic city of Daraa, Sky news quoted the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as saying on Sunday.
The clashes synchronized with the shelling of the government troops for the surrounding areas in Deraa, said locals.
