The Armed Forces personnel targeted on Friday dawn hotbeds of terrorists in Sheikh Zuwaid in North Sinai, the spokesman of the Armed Forces Mohammed Samir said.

The forces raided the hotbeds in el Leftat, el Zuhair, el Zora, Goz Abu Rad and Moraba Kododa as well as adjacent areas.

The operations left seven extremists dead in el Leftat and five others in el Zuhair, he noted.

It also resulted in destroying two stores of explosive substances in el Leftat, he concluded.
