Twelve members of the blacklisted Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group were arrested Sunday in Cairo's square of Abdel Moneim Riyad.
Security forces dispersed the other citizens who gathered at the square to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the 2011 uprising, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
It also called on citizens to report any MB members, who plot to commit sabotage acts in the state.
