Twelve wanted members of the blacklisted Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group were arrested over the past 24 hours, police said.
The apprehension took place in the governorates of Giza, South Sinai, Fayyoum, Damietta and Aswan.
They are wanted over violence charges.
