Iraqi forces, backed by Sunni clans and Shiite popular committees, killed 13 militants of Daesh, which now control swaths of Iraqi and Syrian territories, Iraqi security sources said Thursday.
The joint forces stopped Daesh terrorists from advancing towards El Bou Hussein near Ameria Fallujah after it was shelled by the militant group, the sources added.
The shelling hit a residential complex and caused both casualties and damage.
Meanwhile, Iraqi forces arrested at Baghdad airport Saadoun Falih Fayad, a Daesh militant responsible for kidnapping security and Sahwa forces near Karma.
