Saudi special emergency forces were performing the noon prayers in a mosque in Asir region when an explosion took place.

The blast left 10 of the forces dead as well as three workers at the mosque and nine persons were wounded.

The case of three of the injured is critical.

Body remains were found at the site of the explosion, said a statement quoted by the Saudi News Agency.
