As many as 141 Egyptians fleeing Libya returned home Thursday via Salloum crossing over the past 24 hours, said Matroh Security Chief Anani Hamouda.
He ordered quickly finalizing their arrival procedures.
Libya has been witnessing a rising insurgency by different rebel groups and militias, increasing the use of weapons since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in 2011.
