At least 15 Houthi members killed in battles and ambushes implemented by the popular resistance in a number of areas in Taiz province, sources with the popular resistance said.

The fierce battles which took place yesterday evening left at least 26 Houthi members injured.

The indiscriminate shelling launched by the Houthis on residential areas in Taiz left one child dead and 13 other people injured, medical sources said.

Yemen has been rocked by months of fighting between the Houthis and loyalists of Yemeni President Abdrabu Mansur Hadi, supported by the Arab coalition, leaving thousands dead and 21 million people in need of urgent aid.
