As many as 150 Daesh militants have been killed in clashes with Iraqi forces in different areas of Diyala.
Head of Diyali province Oudai al-Khadran on Sunday said security forces accompanied by volunteer battalions and Kurdish fighters have begun an extensive operation to liberate al-Rabiya, Bannei, Yassin, al-Latiniya, al-Asaker, al-Aseriya and Kobra base.
The offensive operation resulted in killing 150 Daesh militants and destroying 2 Humvee vehicles, he added.
