As many as 155 Egyptians have come back from Libya via Salloum border crossing over the past 24 hours, said Matrouh Security Chief el Anany Hamouda on Sunday.

In press statements, Hamouda underlined that 19 of the returnees had illegally crossed the border.

Hamouda said he ordered their arrival measures to be swiftly finalized.

Libya has been witnessing security vacuum and state of chaos since the overthrow and death of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
