Sixteen Assyrian Christian families fleeing Daesh attacks in northeastern Syria have arrived in Lebanon.
The Assyrian families had crossed safe roads in Syria until they reached Lebanon where they were received by Lebanese authorities, a security source told MENA Wednesday.
The entry of Assyrian refugees is exceptional due to crimes committed against this minority group in Syria, the source said.
