North Sinai security bodies on Sunday safely detonated 16 explosive devices in Sheikh Zuwaid and Rafah.

The devices were planted on a road where forces are scheduled to cross, security sources said.

No casualties were reported as the detonation was remotely controlled, the sources added.

The security forces combed the scene to search for any other explosive devices and arrest the perpetrators.
