Sixteen people were arrested on back of violence and sabotage acts in Tunisia's Ariana area late Thursday, a media officer at the National Guard said on Friday.

Meanwhile, a relative calm was reported in Kasserine and Gafsa, according to the Tunisian radio.

Last night, Gafsa witnessed sabotage acts by young men, aged between 16 and 20 years old, but the incidents came under control by police supporters, the radio clarified.
