A total of 17 Libyan soldiers were killed as a brigade of the Libyan National Army mounted assaults on a camp occupied by the Libya Dawn militants in capital Tripoli.

Also, 3 members of Libya Dawn militants were killed during the clashes, said a military source on Saturday.

The source further said that 3 women were killed when a random mortar shell fell on them as a result of the clashes between Battalion 101, which is affiliated to the Libyan Army and the Libya Dawn militants in Tajura area.

Battalion 101 launched yesterday an attack on the premises of combating crime body, which is affiliated to Libya Dawn militants.
