Seventeen members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group were remanded in custody for further 15 days pending investigations over violence charges.

They are accused of inciting riots and violence as well as disrupting public order and joining an outlawed group.

In December 2013, the government declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, blaming it for a string of attacks in the country and banning all its activities nationwide.
