Seventeen middle-ranking leaders of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group have been arrested in connection with attacks on public and private property and hostile acts.

The MB members were arrested as part of a preemptive campaign to foil plots of the terrorist group targeting army and police troops, as well as vital state facilities.

Three members of the MB quality operations committees have also been nabbed.

Police have also rounded up 23 wanted extremists.

All legal measures have been taken against all arrestees.

Investigations will soon be launched.
