A total of 171,000 various traffic violations were registered in campaigns launched by security forces nationwide to restore order to Egyptians streets in November.

Also, 202 drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

The clampdowns come in response to the interior minister's directives to step up traffic campaigns to maintain discipline in Egypt's streets and round up truck's drivers who drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
