A huge fire erupted in 18 houses in the Upper Egyptian city of Assiut with no casualties reported.

Civil defense forces rushed to the scene and contained the flames. Twenty heads of cattle died in the fire.

Meanwhile in Qalubiya, a fire broke out in a clothes shop that was put out by firefighters before they extended to nearby buildings and houses. No casualties were reported.

In Minya, a woman filed a report with the police accusing a male nurse of killing her five-year-daughter by a fatal injection mistake.
