Two bombings hit the neighborhoods of Agami and Wardian in western Alexandria earlier Friday.
A number of unidentified persons had planted a makeshift bomb in Agami.
They detonated the bomb as a security patrol was passing, wounding a police officer and a driver who was coincidentally present at the scene of the blast.
No casualties were reported as a result of the second explosion in Wardian area.
