Two people were killed while another was injured in clashes between rival groups from two villages in Qena.

The armed fight was sparked by residents of Nag Azouz, Dishna and residents from Hamra Doum, Nag Hammadi city.

The two sides used gunfire before the police were able to stop the fighting.

The security forces contained the violent quarrel, arrested suspects and seized the guns used by them.

An investigation was opened into the incident.
