Tunisian security forces on Tuesday arrested two terrorist cells in El Kef and Kairouan.

In a statement, the Interior Ministry said six terrorists were arrested in El Kef.

The terrorists were planning to target sensitive security installations in El Kef and Tunis, the ministry added.

The statement said that seven-member takfiri group was arrested in Kairouan.

They were planning to target vital installations in the city, and some of them had direct relations with a perpetrator of Bardo National Museum's attack, the statement added.
