Baghdad Operations Command has announced that two insurgents were killed during a security operation that took place south of the Iraqi capital.The Baghdad Operations Command Spokesman Brigadier Saad Maan said in a statement that a force from the 17th division, after laying ambushes, managed to kill the two militants and to explode the care they were riding in Latifiyah neighbourhood.On the other hand clashes, the fiercest in about a month, broke out in areas of central and eastern Ramadi city in western Iraq.A security source said that neighborhoods of Al Bakr, Al Malaab, Street 60, and Street 20, in addition to a number of nearby areas, have been the scene of clashes since dawn between the army and Sahwa elements on one side and armed elements belonging to Daash or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) on the other.The source explained that medium and light weapons were used in the clashes but, no information is available yet about the magnitude of loss. Meanwhile, the Iraqi Parliament Speaker and Chairman of the (United for Reform Coalition), Osama Nujeifi today denounced the military operations which claimed the lives of innocent citizens in Al Adhamiya and Al Ameria neighbourhoods yesterday. “The new security collapse is related to the melancholic series targeting the Iraqi people,” Al Nujeifi said in a statement, adding that focus on bombing, murder, detention and deportation in areas inhabited by Sunni citizens, is a dangerous development aimed at creating a state of communal division, destruction of the structure of the homeland and inflicting the heaviest damage to the future of all the Iraqis. Baghdad saw yesterday a series of bombings that affected different parts of the city in which dozens were killed or injured.
