A makeshift bomb went off Monday morning in el Mahkama Square, killing two officers and a conscript.

Col. Hesham el Azab, Maj. Ahmed Fekry and conscript Moustafa Aly Abbas were wounded in the blast, according to a statement by the Interior Ministry.

They were moved to hospital and civil defense troops are currently combing the area.
