Two officers were killed and three conscripts were wounded in a roadside bomb blast in Arish late on Wednesday, a statement by the Interior Ministry said.
While security forces were patrolling the international road in Arish, a roadside bomb went off, killing police officers Mohamed Sayed Abdel Azim and Moamen Adel Abdel Maguid, the statement said.
Security forces launched a manhunt to arrest the culprits.
