Policemen arrested Friday two persons for stealing a large amount of iron bars in Alexandria.

The two were nabbed while driving a car with 250 kilograms of stolen iron on board.

Abdulaziz G, 37, and Mohamed H, 24, are facing charges of ripping off iron bars from Margham Bridge on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road.

They admitted to committing the crime with two others.

The public prosecution was notified to launch a probe.
