A suicide bomber killed two Saudi guards and killed a third one on Monday on the border with Iraq, Spokesman for Interior Ministry said in a statement. A patrol of the border guards near Arar, in the Northern Border Region, was fired at from unidentified attackers at about 4:30 am local time on Monday, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the spokesman as saying.
"The situation was dealt with as required by besieging the attackers and killing one of them, while one of the terrorist elements detonated an explosive belt he was carrying, which resulted in his death and the martyrdom of two security men and injuring a third one," the statement said.
"The Security Spokesman said that the incident is still under security follow-up and a supplementary statement will be issued to clarify the details," the statement added.
