Two soldiers were injured after a bomb targeted their armored vehicle during a security campaign in North Sinai’s Sheikh Zuweid city.

Unidentified persons had planted the explosive charge in the road that went off when the armored vehicle drove by, injuring the two soldiers, security sources said.

The pair was moved to hospital for treatment, while security forces combed the area for other explosives, the sources said.
