A security campaign, launched in southern Sheikh Zuwaid and Rafah, resulted in killing two Takfiri elements, arresting seven suspects and damaging terrorist hotbeds, a car and two motorbikes as well as detonating an explosive device.

The suspects are being investigated to know if they are involved in the incidents, according to security sources in Sinai.

The hotbeds, used by the extremists to implement terrorist attacks against the army and police personnel, were destroyed.

Two palate-less motorbikes used by the Takfiris, were also damaged, the sources noted.

The explosive device, planted by the extremist elements, was detonated by a cannon with no casualties reported.
