Salloum border crossing

As many as 213 Egyptians returned home from Libya over the past 24 hours via Salloum border crossing, according to Matrouh security chief Hisham Lotfi.

Out of the 213, 159 Egyptians entered and left Libya with valid papers, while the rest illegally entered the North African nation.

Meantime, departure procedures for 538 passengers, including 58 Egyptians and 480 Libyans were finalized.

Egypt exerts utmost efforts to control its borders with war-torn Libya to prevent smuggling and illegal migration.
