A criminal court in Suez acquitted 22 members of the Muslim Brotherhood of riot incitement charges.

The defendants were accused of illegal assembly and inciting violence after clashes erupted between the Brotherhood group and the residents in Suez.

The group has been designated as a terrorist organization in 2013. It has been blamed by the state for a string of deadly attacks.
