Twenty-two suspects and forty fugitives were arrested in a wide-scale security campaign in North Sinai, a security source said on Wednesday.

They were referred to the bodies concerned to take legal procedures against them, he added.

The 22 suspects are being interrogated, he asserted. 

The 40 fugitives are wanted in 40 cases, he asserted.
