Twenty-three elements of the terrorist group Daesh were killed in clashes over the past hours in the city of Sirte with Battalion 166 of Fajr Libya.
Battalion commander Mohamed al-Hoss said in a statement on Sunday that three of his troops were also killed and some were wounded and rushed to a hospital.
Libya has been in a state of turmoil since the ouster of the Muammar Gaddafi regime in 2011.
