The public prosecution in Sharqiya held 24 members and supporters of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group for 15 days pending investigations over rioting charges.

The detainees are accused of breaking the protest law, disrupting traffic, terrorizing citizens, resisting the authorities and possessing firearms.

They had staged a protest in Bilbeis city and started shooting randomly in the street before disrupting traffic.
