A Tanta criminal court on Sunday sentenced 23 members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group to life imprisonment over violence charges.
The defendants were convicted of joining a terrorist group, inciting violence, rioting and disturbing public peace.
Two sons of MB leaders in Gharbeia governrate were among the defendants.
