Sharqiya Prosecution decided to renew the detention of 24 members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group for 15 days pending investigations over charges of committing violent acts in Belbis.

The suspects face charges of terrorizing citizens, joining a terrorist organization, possessing unlicensed weapons, resisting authorities, blocking roads, disrupting traffic and violating protest law.

Earlier, dozens of MB members organized a rally in Belbis and chanted slogans against police and army.
