As many as 252 Egyptians have come back from Libya via Salloum border crossing over the past 24 hours, said Matrouh Security chief Hisham Lotfy on Wednesday.

In press statements, he underlined that 51 of the returnees have illegally crossed the border.

He added that he ordered their arrival measures to be swiftly finalized.

Libya has been witnessing security vacuum and a state of chaos since the overthrow and death of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
