About 262 Egyptians came back home from Libya via Salloum border crossing over the past 24 hours, according to Matrouh Security Chief Hisham Lotfy.

Around 54 of them have entered Libya illegally, Lotfy said in statements on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the border guards in the western military zone, in coordination with the security apparatuses in Matrouh Security Directorate, managed to foil an infiltration attempt by 104 persons.

The infiltrators, including six Sudanese, were nabbed while being in a military zone where civilians are not permitted to enter.
