Twenty-seven militants of the terrorist Daesh group were killed in the Iraqi province of Anbar, a security source said.
The deaths happened while the Iraqi army was attempting to free the province's district of Ramadi.
The Iraqi army, supported by tribal militants, managed to regain control over Al-Wafaa area, some 35 km west of Ramadi, the source added.
